Installation

Aether installs with one command on the server that runs your Pterodactyl Panel. Before it changes anything, the installer checks that your panel is compatible, makes a full backup and looks for conflicts with other add-ons.

Before you start

• Pterodactyl Panel 1.15.0 – 1.15.2
• PHP 8.2 or newer and Node.js 22
• Root or sudo access on the panel's server
• Your licence key (in the purchase email and in the customer area)

Install

Run this on the panel's server:

install command, sent with your purchase

The installer will:

1. Check compatibility: panel version, PHP and Node.js.
2. Look for conflicts with other themes or add-ons. If it finds one, it stops and lists what it found. Nothing on your panel is changed.
3. Back up every file it is about to touch, plus the panel's built assets.
4. Install Aether.
5. Show a summary with the backup's location and the rollback command.

After installing

• Open your panel and sign in: the new look is already active.
• In the admin area, open the Add-ons page to switch individual features on or off.
• Keep your licence key: sudo aether update uses it to download new versions.

Run rollback command to put the panel back exactly as it was before the install. See Rollback, or ask us on Discord.
