In short
- Flare is free to use on your Discord server, within fair limits.
- Don't use it for spam, raids, scams or anything against Discord's rules.
- If you add Flare to your server, you choose its features and you're responsible for telling your members.
- Never try to break into the panel, the bot or our systems. Report problems to [email protected] instead.
- We may limit or remove Flare or an account that's abused.
These rules apply to the Flare Discord bot, to the panel used to configure it and to the customer area of tmstudio.dev. They're part of our Terms & Conditions.
Using Flare on your server
- You need to be the owner of the Discord server, or have its permission, to add Flare.
- Flare must be used according to Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and Developer Policy.
- Give Flare only the permissions it needs for the features you use.
What you can't do with Flare
- Send spam, mass DMs or unwanted mentions, or use it in raids.
- Collect members' data for purposes they wouldn't expect, or sell it.
- Run scams, giveaways that never pay out, or misleading announcements.
- Use announcements, tickets or auto-replies to harass people.
- Try to get around Flare's limits, for example by creating loops between bots.
If you run a server with Flare
You decide which features to turn on, such as tickets and transcripts, logs of deleted messages, levels, invites and moderation. For the data of your members you're responsible and we process it on your behalf, as explained in the privacy policy. This means:
- tell your members which features are active, for example in your rules channel, especially logs of deleted or edited messages and ticket transcripts;
- only give access to tickets, logs and transcripts to staff members who need it;
- answer your members' privacy requests, and forward to us those you can't handle;
- if you remove Flare and want your server's data deleted, write to [email protected].
The panel and the customer area
- Keep your account secure: use a strong password and don't share it. The staff panel always requires two-factor authentication.
- Don't try to access data, accounts or servers that aren't yours.
- Don't scan, overload or attack the panel, the website, the bot or their APIs, and don't use automated tools to create accounts or send requests.
- Respect the limits on downloads, emails, support requests and reviews. They exist so the service stays fast for everyone.
Security problems
If you find a vulnerability, write to [email protected] with the details and give us reasonable time to fix it before telling others. Don't access more data than needed to show the problem, and never change or delete anyone's data. We'll answer and thank you.
Fair use and availability
Flare and the panel are free and provided as they are. We don't guarantee they'll always be online or that a feature will stay the same. We may introduce limits, change features or stop the service, ideally with notice.
If the rules are broken
We may remove Flare from a server, suspend a customer account or block access to the panel, depending on how serious the case is. When it's possible and safe, we'll explain why first. If you think we made a mistake, write to [email protected].
